The K-3 interventionist provides academic support to regular classroom instruction in reading and math. This work may take place in the classroom, or in a separate, small group setting. The interventionist meets regularly with classroom teachers to assess and re-evaluate student progress. Together they make a determination if additional support is needed. Students may need support for shorter or longer durations of time, depending on their individual needs and goals.
